LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Former Clark County Councilwoman Brittney Ferree is expected to plead guilty to charges connected to the Jamey Noel investigation.
Indiana State Police Capt. Ron Galaviz said Ferree will plead guilty and be sentenced Friday morning in Clark County Circuit Court.Â
The terms will be disclosed in court per the special prosecutor.
Ferree originally turned herself in Aug. 23, 2024, after ISP said they were looking for her. She was initially charged with official misconduct.
Ferree is listed on documents in the Noel case released July 25, 2024. According to search warrants and child support documents, Noel and Ferree have a child together. Noel was previously accused of using taxpayer money from the Utica Township Volunteer Firefighters Association to pay child support to Ferree.
In total, investigators said Noel gave Ferree more than $114,000 for child support, trips and other expenses using money from the Utica Township Volunteer Firefighters Association between 2019 and 2022.
Noel was sentenced to 12 years in prison and ordered to pay millions in restitution after pleading guilty to 27 felonies for theft, obstruction of justice, tax evasion, money laundering, corrupt business influence and official misconduct.
Former Clark County Councilman John Miller will also stand trial for charges stemming from the Noel investigation. His trial is set for Oct. 27 in Clark County Circuit Court.Â
