LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was arrested Tuesday in connection to a 31-year-old murder case, according to Indiana State Police.

ISP's Cold Case Squad and the FBI recently revisited an unsolved homicide of Norman Ellerbrook, which happened Sept. 2, 1993 at his home near Warrenton. Ellerbrook was found by his roommate at the bottom of the stairs in the basement.

Police said an autopsy revealed Ellerbrook died from blunt force trauma to his head. He also had multiple stab wounds, but the wounds weren't in any vital area. He was 63 years old.

Police weren't able to link anyone to his death. But during the investigation, DNA evidence linked Timothy R. Farber to the man's death.

According to police, DNA analysis occurred at laboratories in Evansville and Indianapolis.

Gibson County Prosecutor's Office filed for a murder arrested warrant for Farber, who is 61 years old, on Tuesday.

Farber was arrested without incident and taken to the Gibson County Jail where he is being held without bond.
