LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Scottsburg man was shot and killed at an apartment early Wednesday morning, according to Indiana State Police.
Scott County Sheriff deputies responded to a shooting at an apartment at 2929 E. SR 56 in Scottsburg around 1 a.m. According to police, two men who live at the apartment got into an argument.
Edward Milam Calton, 49, was shot during the argument. He was taken to Scott County Memorial Hospital, but later died.
Police are investigating the shooting, but no arrests have been made at this time. ISP said there isn't any current danger to the public and all people involved have been identified.
ISP said the investigation is ongoing and detectives will provide information to the Scott County Prosecutor for review and possible charges.
