2 people hospitalized after shooting in Louisville's Beechmont neighborhood Thursday night

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Two people are in the hospital following a shooting in Louisville's Beechmont neighborhood Thursday night.

Louisville Metro Police were called to the 500 block of West Kingston Avenue just after 10 p.m. on a report of a shooting, John Bradley, LMPD spokesperson, said in a statement.

While officers were on the way to the scene, two people, a man and a woman who had both been shot, arrived at St. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital by private means. Bradley said both victims were transported to University Hospital "for additional treatment, where they remain."

During the investigation, officers discovered the crime scene inside a home in the 500 block of West Kingston Avenue. LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is continuing to investigate. Bradley said all parties in this incident "have been accounted for."
