LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Jennings County Jail Officer was fired after being arrested on felony charges, according to police.

Jennings County Sheriff's Office said deputies went to Butlerville on a report of a disturbance on April 4. Police said shots were fired during an altercation between a car and ATV.

Although a crash didn't happen, police said a Harlan Pennycuff, 26, climbed onto the hood of a passenger car and showed off a gun. He then fired multiple shots near the ground. 

Pennycraft, of North Vernon, was arrested and charged with criminal confinement, pointing a firearm and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon. 

Pennycuff was terminated from his job as a Jennings County Jail Officer.
