LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The trial of an accused Louisville triple murderer reached its fourth day of testimony on Friday.

Brice Rhodes is accused of shooting and killing 40-year-old Christopher Jones in May 2016. Later that month, he allegedly killed 14-year-old Larry Ordway and 16-year-old Maurice Gordon.

Police have said Gordon and Ordway were killed at Rhodes' home in Clifton. Their bodies were dumped in the Shawnee neighborhood and set on fire.

During the trial Friday, video of Rhodes in the interrogation room was shown to jurors for the first time.

In the video, a Louisville Metro Police detective can be heard saying "we are looking for two missing kids and we don't know, we heard that you might know where they might be."

"I haven't seen them in about, about a week," Rhodes said.

Rhodes said he was "cool" and played basketball with the brothers.

Rhodes admitted he also knew them because he used to date the boys' mother the previous summer.

"We got into an argument she thought I was cheating on her or something like that ... but it was nothing serious, I owe her some money I think," Rhodes said.

Rhodes later told the detectives he already heard the boys were dead.

"Their uncle talking about ... something about they're dead or something like that. And I text him like 'are you joking?' And he never texted me back," Rhodes said.

Anjuan Carter is a co-defendant of Rhodes. He testified the vehicle the brothers were put in had blood in the backseat, so the backseat was taken out and hidden.

Police initially said they had recovered this backseat from a dumpster.

"The judge asked what is the biggest piece of evidence you have on the spot, and I was thinking and racking my brain and I said I don't know the back seat or the carpet. It was a miss speak if you will," LMPD Detective Aaron Tinelli said.

But defense attorneys have accused police of losing the backseat or not properly turning over evidence from it.

Later in cross examination Tinelli said he does not have the back seat.

Rhodes' trial starts back up Monday afternoon. The judge said it's on track to be finished before next Friday.
