LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police in Elizabethtown arrested a juvenile after receiving a tip from the FBI that a threat had been made against students at Central Hardin High School.
The FBI's Threat Assessment Center notified the Elizabethtown Police Department of the threat around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to a news release from Chris Denham, the department's public affairs officer.
Police located the suspect and made contact with him within five minutes of receiving the tip.
The suspect was taken to a juvenile detention facility.
Denham said "at no time was the safety of any students or staff compromised," and he hopes the quick arrest "sends a strong message that this type of behavior will not be tolerated."
