LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A juvenile male was taken to Norton Children's Hospital after being shot in Louisville's Russell neighborhood Thursday evening.
Louisville Metro Police officers were called to the 900 block of Place Bleu on a reported shooting around 6:30 p.m., department spokesperson John Bradley said. That's off West Muhammad Ali Boulevard, past South 9th Street.
Once on scene, police found a juvenile male with a gunshot wound, Bradley said. He was taken to Norton Children's Hospital where he is expected to survive.Â
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling the investigation. Bradley said there is no suspect information at this time.Â
