LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested a Louisville man after two women reported being robbed at gunpoint in west Louisville.
According to the arrest report, it happened Monday evening around 6:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Hazel Street, near the intersection with W. Broadway. Police say officers were able to locate the suspect near 34th and Garland in an alley after the victim reported the robbery. Police say the suspect, 25-year-old Reginald Basel, ran when he spotted officers looking for him.
Police say the victim told them Basel and two other men approached the car she was in with another woman, pointed a gun at them and got away with $26 in cash and two cell phones.
Police did not recover the weapon or the victims' property.
Basel is charged with first degree robbery and fleeing or evading police.
