LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man has been arrested and charged with first degree assault after Louisville Metro Police say he shot his cousin in the chest.
The incident took place on Feb. 7, in the 5500 block of Ripple Lane, just north of the intersection of Rangeland Road and Rustic Way.
Police say 24-year-old Jonathan Craig shot his cousin in the chest.
When officers arrived at the scene, they say they found the victim, who was transported to University Hospital in serious condition.
According to the arrest report, the victim identified Craig -- his cousin -- as the shooter.
A warrant was issued for Craig's arrest on Feb. 18, and he was taken into custody at approximately 10:30 a.m. today. He is charged with first degree assault.
Craig is currently being held in Louisville Metro Corrections.
