LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man is charged with robbing a bank on Bardstown Road in Louisville.

Police said Robert Taylor, 66, was arrested Friday on Bardstown Road, just a few blocks down from the Chase Bank he allegedly robbed.

Louisville Metro Police said officers responded Feb. 24 to the Chase Bank at Bardstown Road and Deerwood Avenue on the report of a holdup. The initial investigation showed a white man entered the bank around 1:45 p.m., demanded cash and fled with an "undetermined amount."

According to Taylor's citation, he approached the teller with a demand note. It read "Give me the 100's, 50's, 20's, 10's. No dye packs or I'll come back and kill you. Hurry up."

Taylor was arraigned Saturday and was given a $75,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 16.

LMPD's Robbery Unit is investigating the incident.
