LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Alcoholic Beverage Control suspended a west Louisville liquor store's license over alleged crimes being committed on the property.

The emergency suspension for Mr. Silks Party Store at 2100 West Muhammad Ali Blvd. follows a monthslong narcotics trafficking investigation, the agency said in a release.

ABC investigators, along with Louisville Metro police, served a search warrant at the store Thursday.

During the investigation, violations of Kentucky's alcoholic beverage control laws were found, like drinking alcohol in and around the store when the business is not licensed for that.

"Due to ongoing narcotics activity and management’s failure to ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage laws, ABC determined the establishment poses an immediate risk to the community's health and safety and issued Emergency Suspension Order," the agency said in the release.

WDRB reached out to the Louisville Metro Police Department about any arrests made stemming from the investigation, but have not heard back.
