LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man died after an early morning shooting Saturday in Louisville's Portland neighborhood.

Officer Adam Sears, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, said officers  responded to a shooting in the 2500 block of West Main Street at 2:35 a.m.

That's where officers found a man who had been shot.

Sears said police rendered aid until EMS arrived. The man was taken to UofL Hospital where he died from his injuries.

LMPD's Homicide Unit is leading the investigation. Sears said there are no known suspects at this time.
