LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police detectives are investigating after a shooting in the 600 block of South 11th Street.Â
It happened around 9:30 a.m. near West Broadway and Esquire Alley. LMPD officers were sent after receiving a report of a shooting, according to a news release from an LMPD spokesperson.Â
When officers arrived, they found the man with a gunshot wound at that location. Officers rendered first aid until EMS arrived. He was conscious and alert as he was taken to UofL Hospital, and police said his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, according to the news release.Â
Thursday's shooting was the second in two days near that location. A man died after he was shot multiple times in the 1000 block of Esquire Alley around 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 21.Â
