LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man is dead after a double shooting in Louisville's Smoketown neighborhood Friday morning.
Officers were called to the 700 block of Caldwell Street around 5:36 a.m. on the reported shooting, according to Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Adam Sears. That's near the intersection of Logan and East Kentucky streets.
Once on scene, police found two men who had been shot. Both victims were taken to University of Louisville Hospital where one of them was pronounced dead. Sears did not know the condition of the other man.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the victim Saturday as 27-year-old Remon Allen.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit was notified and is leading the investigation.
