LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A person was injured in an altercation at a gas station in Fern Creek on Monday afternoon, according to Louisville Metro Police.
LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said police responded to a shooting in the 5300 block of Bardstown Road, near South Hurstbourne Parkway, around 3:50 p.m. Police said an altercation between two men happened in a gas station parking lot, and a gunshot was fired at one of the men.
The man wasn't shot, but he was injured and required medical attention, according to Ellis. The man was taken to University Hospital with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Ellis said the other man ran from the scene.
LMPD's Seventh Division is handling the investigation, but so far there aren't any suspects.
