LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The owner of Asian Massage in Sellersburg is facing several felony charges for allegedly defrauding the Indiana Department of Revenue after an investigation spanning several months.

The investigation began in February, according to a news release Thursday from Indiana State Police. A detective from the ISP Special Investigations, Organized Crime and Corruption Unit began receiving reports of alleged illegal activities at Asian Massage.

The business is located in Hometown Plaza, at the intersection of State Road 60 and County Road 311 in Sellersburg.

After investigating business and financial records and other investigative methods, 62-year-old Yonghua Fang Thrasher, from Louisville, was identified as the business owner. With assistance from the Indiana Department of Revenue, investigators discovered an alleged theft of $16,554 in unpaid state and county taxes.

An arrest warrant was issued for Thrasher on Aug. 19, and she was booked into the Clark County Jail on Aug. 20. She is charged with corrupt business influence, two counts of theft, two counts of tax evasion, and failure to allow access to records.

Thrasher's bond was set at $10,000 full cash. Her next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 25.
