LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville police said one person has been detained after a man was shot in the leg early Saturday morning in the Southside neighborhood.

LMPD Officer Chris Baker said the shooting happened just after 5 a.m. in the 100 block of Hartwell Court. Baker said officers found a man shot in the leg. He was taken to UofL Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Baker said one person of interest has been detained for this shooting. The LMPD Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating.
