LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The University of Louisville football player accused of putting a gun to his girlfriend's head while threatening to kill her is out of jail.
Police say tight end Kemari Averett accused his girlfriend of stealing his laptop on Monday. That's when he reportedly put a gun to her head and threatened to kill her.
The report states that Averett threatened to shoot the car and told her he would "have my people looking for you."
On Thursday, a judge released Averett on home incarceration, after he pleaded not guilty assault, domestic violence and wanton endangerment
Averett is not allowed to have contact with the alleged victim or any other witnesses in the case. He was also ordered not to drink alcohol, do drugs or have a firearm.
Averett remains suspended from the football team until further notice.
