LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police arrested a woman in connection to a deadly shooting last month in the Park Hill neighborhood.

22-year-old Alexis Morales was charged with murder in the April 25 homicide near South 13th Street and Brashear Drive, said LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell.

Officers responded just after 4 a.m. that morning to reports of a shooting. When police arrived, they found a 50-year-old man outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Morales' arrest citation identified the victim as Edward Kelley.

According to the citation, police recovered a handgun Wednesday during a search warrant. The citation also said Morales admitted in a statement to officers that she used the gun to shoot Kelley.

Morales' was in arraignment court Thursday where she pleaded not guilty. A judge set a $1 million cash bond. She is due back in court on May 15.
