LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man is dead and a woman is facing charges after a crash in Louisville's Algonquin neighborhood Monday evening.
Police were called to the reported crash near the intersection of West Lee Street and McCloskey Avenue around 7:40 p.m., Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Aaron Ellis said in a statement.
Airel Taylor, 25, was arrested on the scene after the crash and charged with vehicular homicide and DUI.
Investigators with LMPD's Traffic Unit believe Taylor was driving a pickup truck and ran a stop sign at the intersection "for some unknown reason," colliding with a Mustang that was entering the road, Ellis said.
The impact of the two vehicles caused the Mustang to lose control, hitting an unoccupied vehicle that was parked nearby. The man driving the Mustang died at the scene.
In court on Tuesday, a judge set Taylor's bond at $100,000 and ordered her not to drive.
