LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- High jumps, frisbee magic, and pure canine talent.

Some pups displayed their best tricks in this weekend's National Disc Dog Qualifying Tournament.

More than a hundred dogs from a half dozen states are in Louisville to qualify for this fall's national championship.

Any breed -- from poodles to great danes -- can compete.

"It's fun but it is a competition. We do keep score, and there are several people vying for the championship today. It's pretty intense," says competitor Jeff Duff.

"It helps build that human-animal bond and really is a great opportunity for the community to come out and enjoy a couple of days with the family," says MAS Director Justin Scally.

Some of the dogs competing Saturday were adopted at Metro Animal Services.
