LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Sixty-two high school students in Kentucky earned a perfect score on the ACT this year.
Kentucky students were among the top of states testing 100% of their students on the college admissions exam. A total of 51,029 students across the commonwealth were tested, scoring an average of 18.6 -- with 62 students receiving a perfect score of 36, according to information from the Kentucky Teacher website published by the Kentucky Department of Education.Â
Kentucky's average composite score was third among states that test 100% of students, behind only Wyoming and Tennessee.
The 18.6 score was slightly below the 18.7 recorded in 2023. A total of 51,029 students in the class of 2024 took the ACT at least once.
