LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — An artform dating back thousands of years is on display in Louisville this weekend.

The Louisville Tattoo Festival is taking place at the Kentucky International Convention Center downtown Saturday and Sunday, March 28-29.

More than 200 artists from around the world show off some of their work while meeting with new clients and fans.

The family-friendly festival also has several exhibitions and vendors as well as tattoo competitions.

"I think one of the things that Louisville has is there are so many great artists that specialize in all different kinds of things - you'll see incredible realism artists - you will see incredible traditional artists," said Quinn Hurley, festival director.

The event continues Sunday, March 29 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and admission is $30 cash at the door.
