LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Local high schoolers are pitching their ideas for a night on the pitch with Louisville's professional soccer teams.
Wednesday morning, students in the Management and Entrepreneurship pathway at the Academy @ Shawnee presented their ideas to Louisville City FC and Racing Louisville officials for soccer game theme nights.
The club leaders gave students feedback on their ideas, and they may even incorporate some of those ideas into their promotions.
"The students have spent a good amount of time developing, researching, and using our tools to develop a theme night that we would hope to use in the stadium one day this year. So the students are here, they're giving us their presentations talking about everything from ticketing to partnerships, to activations in the stadium, ways in which they're engaging with the community," George Davis, Lou City Racing Foundation program director, said. "It's really cool to hear the excitement in the students' voices and to see the creativity that is coming from it."
Some current theme nights include college night, hometown heroes night, pride night and more.
