LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Bullitt County Public Schools released details about two elementary teachers pulled from the classroom in Mt. Washington.

Last month, WDRB News reported that BCPS Superintendent Jesse Bacon sent letters to parents at Crossroads Elementary School after a male and female teacher were removed from the classroom for separate incidents.

Through an open records request, WDRB Investigates obtained the reassignment documents for the two teachers, along with their names.

Teacher James Edlin was reassigned to School Food Services after an allegation that he quote "pulled and grabbed two students' arms and then pulled them into the pod" out of frustration.

The district said teacher Kimberly Baker was reassigned to Central Office after an allegation that she quote "grabbed a student's arm and jerked the student down into a chair."

According to the letters WDRB obtained, the district assigned a different teacher to their classes for an undetermined period of time. The superintendent said the two teachers were reassigned to non-teaching duties, pending the results of the investigations because of separate and unrelated allegations.

BCPS said it's conducting internal investigations into the separate allegations and those investigations are ongoing.

Mt. Washington Police are also investigating.

Last month, Bacon issued the following statement:

"As a result of separate and unrelated allegations, two teachers at Crossroads Elementary School have been reassigned to administrative, non-teaching duties, pending the results of the investigations. Reassignment or separation from existing duties is a precautionary measure, routinely utilized until investigations conclude for both the welfare of our students and any staff involved. It would be inappropriate to draw any conclusions from the reassignment of staff as certainly none will be made by the undersigned until all the facts are in. Meanwhile, guest (substitute) teachers are currently in the affected classrooms to ensure continuity of education for our students. With any school matter such as this, there are frequent inaccuracies and unjustified conclusions found in uninformed social media posts. We will make all appropriate, non-confidential information available as soon as possible. Please be assured that these decisions were made with the utmost concern for the integrity of our educational environment. We remain committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for all our students and appreciate the support of our community."

The last day of school for BCPS is Friday, May 17.
