LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A delegation from Barbados visited Waggener High School Wednesday to talk to students about careers in the medical field.
A group from Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Barbados stopped by the school. The group is visiting high schools and universities around the country that are involved in the medical education.
Waggener has a health science academy which prepares students for a future in the medical field.
"In Barbados we are going through our educational reform process and it's good for us to have insight as to what is being done at Waggener and seeing how we can communicate to our education officials," Rudy Grant, the Barbados Consul General, said.
The group also visited a classroom and Waggener's Black Student Union.
