LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Now that school's out, the Jefferson County Public Schools Summer Meal program started on Monday.

Free meals are available for any child 18 and under. Breakfast and lunch will be available at more than 75 schools, pools, parks and community centers across the area.

There's no sign-up or application necessary. All you have to do is show up at a site.

The summer meals program runs June 5 to July 28.

Last summer, JCPS served over 125,000 breakfasts and more than 198,000 lunches to children, according to JCPS spokesperson Carolyn Callahan. JCPS expects close to the same level of participation this year.
