LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Families around Louisville getting ready to go back to school got some help this weekend.
Wesley House Community Services hosted its annual back-to-school bash and community day on Saturday. More than 300 students received backpacks and school supplies.
It's the third year the drive has been held before school starts.
"Our amazing teachers who did all they could to supply classroom supplies but they couldn't supply it all so we are just trying to think what can we do to help out and just really share the love," Wesley House President and CEO Mendell Grinter said.
There were also family activities like inflatable houses and face painting.
