LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Hardin County Schools will give bus drivers a raise this upcoming school year.
It comes as schools across the country deal with bus driver shortages.
In an effort to recruit more drivers, Hardin County Schools will offer a $2 raise. The district said a first-year bus driver will now make more than $20 an hour.
Current bus drivers for the district said they love building relationships with the kids and enjoy the flexible hours.
