LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB/WKBO) — After severe storms hit multiple Kentucky counties Tuesday afternoon, emergency management teams are working to help residents and assess minor to extreme levels of damage.

Among the many areas hit with damage were Hart, Grayson and Metcalfe counties.

An "extremely dangerous" tornado in Hart County near Munfordville was radar-confirmed by the National Weather Service. The NWS also confirmed Wednesday an EF2 touched down in southeast Grayson County with maximum winds of 115 mph.

Anyone who lives in those areas can follow the steps below to receive assistance:

  • Grayson County: To report storm damage, call (270)-259-5000 or email graysonemergency@gmail.com. Click here to fill out a survey for other unmet needs.
  • Hart County: Click here to report storm damage. Contact the Hart County Fiscal Court at (270)-524-5219 for any other questions.
  • Metcalfe County: Call the non-emergency line for structural storm damage, at (270)-432-5646.
