LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The world of green industry has converged in Louisville for one of the most profitable conventions the city sees each year.

The Equip Expo shows off the world of landscaping and lawncare in Louisville. The convention has more than 870 vendors displaying products from landscaping, mowing and outdoor power equipment.

It's expected to bring in 25,000 people, from vendors and distributors. The event is closed to the general public.

The convention has grown so large that the West Wing had to be opened to accommodate all the suppliers. Outside, there are lifts, bulldozers and mowers for companies to display their products.

"This show is unique in the fact that it is one of the few that has been here for 40 years so when you have a group like this seeking ways to commit to Louisville, operate in Louisville, execute their vision in Louisville it is very special," said Ian Cox, Kentucky Exposition Center spokesperson.

Musical acts like Dylan Scott, Juice Box Heroes and Third Eye Blind are performing free concerts for attendees.

The three-day event is expected to have an economic impact of $21 million for Louisville.
