LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A former JCPS golf coach accused of lewd behavior in Cherokee Park is due back in court next month after a judge agreed to delay proceedings in the case.

Gregory Mack, 59, appeared by Zoom before a judge Friday in Jefferson District Court. Louisville Metro Police arrested Mack earlier this month after investigators said they received multiple tips alleging inappropriate behavior at Cherokee Park.

According to police, Mack is accused of exposing himself and engaging in lewd acts in a public area, including in front of multiple people. Court documents allege some incidents involved children.

Following his arrest, Jefferson County Public Schools removed Mack from his coaching position at W.E.B DuBois Academy.

During Friday’s hearing, both prosecutors and Mack’s attorney asked for additional time before moving forward. A judge approved the request and scheduled Mack’s next court appearance for June 11.
