LOUISVILLE, Ky. – During regular yard waste collection operations, one free paper bag, stapled with an educational flyer on the new Yard Waste Container Regulation, will be distributed to each residence found not yet to have made the switch to paper or a reusable container. This will give everyone a chance to sample the strength and quality of the paper bags in advance of the January 1, 2015 start of enforcement of the regulation.
All residents are also invited to pick up a sample bag and flyer at one of the locations below. Limit one bag per person. Those opting for reusable containers are also invited to pick up free labels to place on those containers that will help collection crews identify yard waste. Leaf drop-off is also available through Dec. 6 as listed separately below.
