LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville's downtown NuLu district is growing again.
A new French restaurant, La Coop: Bistro a Vins, opened on East Market Street.
The owners hosted a celebratory ribbon cutting Tuesday morning.
La Coop serves French comfort and country food with a modern twist.
The menu features everything from cheeseburgers to escargot.
"We like being in the Green Building. For us it's the heart of NuLu and it's a great space, one of the first locations that started the movement here.. something needed to be here," says Brett Davis.
Davis owns the restaurant, along with Michael and Steven Ton. They also own Doc Crow's.
La Coop serves brunch, lunch and dinner.
