LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - For the first time in many years there will no longer be a Heitzman's Bakery in or near Germantown.
The locally owned bakery company is consolidating its operations and has closed its Eastern Parkway store.
The bakery's owner said the store was not meeting expectations and that its rent was too high.
Heitzman's will be adding drive up windows at two of its remaining stores.
Some of its products are also sold in local Kroger stores.
