LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Jefferson County Public Schools graduate teamed up with his employer to give back to those in need.

Amazon donated more than 4,000 pairs of shoes to the JCPS Clothing Assistance Program.

Josh Weber made it happen. Weber is a former JCPS student who received services from the Family Resource coordinator at Shelby Elementary School.

He's now a manager at the Amazon Fulfilment Center in Bullitt County and learned that unsold new shoes at his warehouse went to waste. So he made sure they went to families in need instead.

Amazon will give other clothes and supplies to JCPS Family Resource Centers, partnering homeless shelters and other organizations.
