LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Jeffersonville man is in critical condition after a crash on Interstate 70 on Saturday, according to Indiana State Police.
ISP responded to a motorcycle crash on I-70 westbound at the New Castle exit around 4:55 p.m. Police said a 2025 Harley Davidson three-wheeled motorcycle driven by Larry Dean Peeples, 79, left the roadway for an unknown reason as vehicle exited the interstate.
Police believe the man suffered a medical issue. The motorcycle went off the roadway, hit a sign and continued rolling into a ditch.
Police said Peeples was unresponsive and emergency responders performed CPR. He was then airlifted to IU Methodist Hospital where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
According to police, Peeples wasn't wearing a helmet when the crash happened.
