LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Frankfort Avenue Business Association hosted it's annual "FaLaLa on Frankfort" eventĀ in the Clifton neighborhood.

"This is an excellent opportunity for holiday shopping while supporting our local business community," Councilman AndrewĀ Owen (D-9)Ā said in a statement. "Frankfort Avenue is home to many amazing local shops and restaurants."

It was a Saturday of entertainment and activities at small businesses on Frankfort Avenue.

The French Alliance Christmas Carolers sang up and downĀ Frankfort Avenue for customers at local shops. Their goal was toĀ help "spread French cheer" for the holidays.

"The French Christmas carolersĀ came about by a group of members who wanted to go out and spread holiday cheer,"Ā Matt Straub, with the French Alliance of Louisville, said. "We do wine tastings, dinners, and French speaking events every single month to promote the French culture around Louisville."

There was also a dog walk and contest, photos with Santa, and discounts to several Louisville-area attractions. This event also offered several chances to donate to Jude's Jingle Tree.
