LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The city of Jeffersonville received a $1 million grant to improve streets in Jeffersonville.
The city announced Monday the approval of a grant from Indiana Department of Transportation. The funds will be used for paving projects scheduled next year, according to a news release. The funding comes from the Community Crossings Matching Grant program.
"Building relationships with state officials continues to benefit the people of Jeff," Jeffersonville Mayor Mike Moore said in a news release. "We are very grateful Senator Chris Garten really went to bat for us."
INDOT will provide up to 50% of construction costs for the designed projects, which are expected to begin next spring.
