LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a juvenile and an off-duty Lancaster, Kentucky, police officer.
KSP said the crash happened just before midnight on Saturday, Aug. 17, on U.S. 27 near Old Norwood Road in Pulaski County, near Science Hill.
Police said an off-duty police officer was driving his Dodge Durango police vehicle when he crashed into the back of an off-road mini bike.
KSP said a juvenile riding the mini bike was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene. The officer was not injured.
Police are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the off-road bike or the crash to contact KSP.
