"We need to make sure that we are supporting our veterans, not just by words but also by action," said Marj Graves with Honor Flight Bluegrass. "And our Kentucky Veterans Day Parade is an excellent way for our community, family, friends and citizens to show support and respect to our veterans.

The 2024 grand marshal is Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Don "Doc" Ballard, who represents the Armed Forces Medic Corps.

The 2024 Veterans Day Parade starts at noon Saturday on Jefferson Street. After that, families can walk through a display of military vehicles until about 3 p.m.
