LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Some of the best chefs in the area showed off their skills Sunday at Waterfront Park for the Heritage Fire Tour.
It's a walkaround tasting where local chefs and farms have guests sample locally-sourced food then they can vote for their favorites.
Heritage Fire is a live-fire nationwide food and wine tour.
This is the first time in the Derby City.
Chefs from 8up, Enso, Proof on Main, Swizzle and several others took to the grills while attendees sipped their favorite bourbons.
"We have 700 people here so really good turnout," Heritage Fire Spokesperson Sebastian Calonge said. "I think that Louisville is becoming that kind of, like, food and wine scene so it is really really cool to see all the restaurants coming out and we're excited and we hope to come back next year."
Other cities to host Heritage Fire include Napa, Miami, Los Angeles and Charlestown.
