LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Louisville Ballet's newest performance will feature songs by Jack Harlow.
The performance, titled "502," is being choreographed by Ching Ching Wong to music from the Louisville native.
The Louisville Ballet said the performance is a one-of-a-kind integration of ballet and contemporary music. It's set to make its debut during the Ballet's 2024-25 season.
Wong called the performance "a celebration of voices and communities coming together in a way that is singular to Louisville."
"With the Artists of Louisville Ballet and the hip hop music of Jack Harlow, we challenge what is and what can be," Wong said. "I'm thrilled to return to Louisville Ballet and looking forward to sharing work made in and for the '502' community."
Last year, Harlow made a $50,000 donation to the Ballet through his foundation, the Jack Harlow Foundation, after hearing about some tough financial times. Harlow said he hoped the donation would continue the Ballet's more than 70-year history as "an impressive pillar in our local arts community."
