LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville is known as being a popular foodie city and Sunday several local chefs showed hungry folks their best dishes.
It was the second annual Louisville Black Chef Showcase which highlighted their talents for a good cause.
It took place at the Mellwood Art Center. The chefs prepared small bites for guests on a wide range of flavors from southern classics to innovative fusion dishes.
Culinary students at Western High School helped create the dishes.
"Just the fact they're here on a Sunday and they don't really have to be, they chose to be because they love what they do," Western High School Counselor Nicole Sales said. "Every time there is something going on they always volunteer. We never have that problem and they just love that they are passionate about culinary and I think that is awesome."
All the proceeds went to support the Western High School's culinary program.
