LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville City FC will host the Tampa Bay Rowdies on Saturday, and the home team is holding a fundraiser to donate money to the club, as it cleans up from Hurricane Milton.
Louisville City said in a news release Thursday that the "Relief for the Rowdies" fundraiser is live now online, and the club will match up to $10,000 in donations that will go toward the club.
"Tampa Bay has transformed into a rival of ours over the years — not due to any sort of proximity but rather mutual respect between two quality clubs," LouCity’s president, James O’Connor, said in a news release Thursday. "As the Rowdies recover from Hurricane Milton, we encourage the community to join us in making a contribution to their organization. Every little bit helps, and we continue to keep the Tampa bay community and surrounding areas in our thoughts and prayers."
