LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Louisville community showed major support online to a man who's as much of a fixture at UofL sporting events as Louie the bird.
More than $50,000 in donations came in for Keith Jackson, better known as DJ K Dogg.
He's the DJ who hypes the crowd and provides entertainment during UofL athletic events.
Jackson announced on Instagram that he's undergoing a left leg amputation due to a complication from an infection from his ongoing battle with diabetes.
A friend set up a GoFundMe page for the DJ, who expects to be out of work for quite sometime.
It topped the $50,000 goal in the first day.
