LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville Metro Police officer was injured in a car crash in Jeffersontown early Friday.

John Bradley, a spokesman for LMPD, said a police vehicle was involved in a crash with a Toyota pickup truck in the 500 block of South Hurstbourne around 11:30 a.m.

Louisville Fire and Rescue helped extricate the officer from his vehicle and he was taken to UofL Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck wasn't injured. LMPD's Eighth Division is investigating.
