LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --Â The man charged in the death of an Indiana 1-year-old is on suicide watch as the family of the girl buries her.
Shaylyn Ammerman's visitation began at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Christian Life Center in Spencer, Indiana. Her funeral is tonight at 7 p.m.
A private burial is scheduled for the 15-month-old at Chambersville Cemetery in Spencer.
Kyle Parker faces murder, rape, kidnapping and other charges. In court documents released this week, Parker reportedly told his step-father he was not going to prison for the rest of his life and was going to commit suicide.
Owen County Jail officials say suspects booked on such serious charges are automatically placed on suicide watch as a precaution.
