LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It's been one year since a fire destroyed an Indiana church and Sunday its members celebrated their new building.

"I said 'Lord I don't understand.' This is where we come to worship you and praise you, and now it's gone up in smoke. It seemed like a voice answered back and said 'I know, but you're going to have bigger and better," said church member Jennings Conrad.

The congregation of Sulphur Pentecostal Church lost its old building back in July 2015.

A lightning strike was believed to have been the cause of the fire.

Over the past year, surrounding churches and others donated everything to build a brand new facility.

To celebrate, members enjoyed two ceremonies, followed by lunch in their brand new home.
